- Verification and calibration of measuring means, metrological certification of testing equipment;
- National testing of measuring means for pattern approval;
- Development, production and delivery of high-precision, working and unique means of measurements including special-purpose means;
- High-precision measurements and development of new measurement methods;
- Development of standard reference materials;
- Development, production and certification of standard reference materials of materials and substances properties;
- Development and expertise of standards and other norms and specifications of measurement procedures and means, expertise and accreditation of measurement procedures according to specialization;
- Metrological assurance in the East-Siberian region including scientific methodological help in metrological expertise of normative documents, programs and investment projects;
- Analysis of branch-reserved measurements and definition of basic lines of its development;
- Participation in forming and carrying-out of state scientific and technological programs;
- Educational activity in metrology (continuing professional education);
- Carrying-out of work under the plan of international scientific and technological cooperation, establishment of direct external economic relations, joint research and development of native and foreign partners including training of specialists;
- Holding of symposiums, conferences, workshops, meetings, exhibitions including international ones;
- Rendering of engineering, consultation and information services to enterprises and organizations;
- Liquid-helium preparation.
